Education:

Hochschule Niederrhein, Mönchengladbach
One of Europe's biggest and finest places to study Fashion. Coming from an engineering approach in teaching HN's focus on design is teaching the students beside design competence a lot of product know how.
They offer several english speaking bachelor and master degrees e.g. in Textile and Clothing Management and the first Master studies in fashion retailing called "Retail and Management", currently the sole academic degree in fashion retailing. Due to German laws the study fees are very attractive!!

GermanFashion Modeverband e.v., Cologne
Former associations for womenswear, menswear and corporate fashion/sportswear merged into this new fashion association with roughly 300 members. GermanFashion Modeverband is a very lively organization being very active on the fields "independent sales representative law", "customs laws", "claim management" and lately all topics around care labels. GF is Germany's biggest seminar provider for the fashion industry.

Gesamtverband Textil und Mode, Berlin
Gesamttextil (Textile associaion) and BBI Bundesverband Bekleidungsindustrie merged years ago into Gesamtverband Textil und Mode. 2009 they moved from Eschborn to Berlin.
Today GTM is the head organization of all German Fashion Asscoications with a focus mainly on political Lobby Work and industry wide research projects.
